Plast is the first and largest Scout organization in Ukraine.
For many years, we marked April 12 — the Day of the First Plast Promise — as the organization’s birthday. However, archival records indicate that the first meeting of the “Kruk” (Raven) patrol in Lviv took place on April 21, 1912. The exact date of the first Promise remains unknown. The April 12 date most likely appeared due to a technical error. Therefore, we are gradually transitioning to celebrating Plast’s founding on April 21.
So, today Plast celebrates its 114th anniversary!
We are proud that throughout these years we have continued to grow, to uphold scouting values, and to educate young people.
During the war, Plast has become a particularly important organization for Ukraine. We contribute to safeguarding our country’s independence by developing responsible and active young citizens.
We are glad that scouting plays such an important role today, and we will continue to grow ourselves and to support the growth of others in the future
Be Prepared!
