Plast took part in the transmission of the Light of Peace in Vienna

Every year, scouts spread the Light of Peace from Bethlehem as a symbol of the unity of people around the world, the values of goodness and love – which always win.

Members of Plast took part in the ceremony of handing over the Light of Peace from Bethlehem to the world in Vienna.

The Light of Peace from Bethlehem campaign was started by scouts of Pfadfinder und Pfadfinderinnen Österreichs, as part of a campaign to help children in Austria and abroad – to bring a Light of Peace to everyone in need. The tradition was supported by scouts around the world and the Light of Peace from Bethlehem began to travel from Vienna across all borders. In Ukraine, for 31 years in a row, our scouts have been delivering The Light of Peace to people everywhere.

This year, The Light of Peace from Bethlehem for us is not just about unity and love, but also a symbol of gratitude for one’s mortality and joint struggle for Ukraine. Thank you to the entire scout community, that for 10 months you have been an indescribable force and support for each member of Plast and for Ukraine.

We will take the Light of Peace from Bethlehem to the de-occupied territories and collect aid, which we will pass on to the children. Joined and shared warmth with the skin Ukrainian family:
