For more than 60 years, Plast operated illegally. Polish, German and Soviet governments forbade it and punished members of Ukrainian scouting organization. Finally, in 1989, in Lviv, the restoration of Plast was officially proclaimed.
Oles Kryskiv played a key role in this. He initiated and created the hut Chornomortsi and was the head of Plast in the 1990s. He organized the first Scout Promise ceremony after the restoration.
In honor of the First Scout Promise ceremony in Ukraine, thousands of Plast members are celebrating. Since 1911, we have been keeping the promise of being loyal to God and Ukraine; helping others and living according to the Scout Law .
