Ukrainian Scouts at WÖPFI Sommerlager 2025 in Germany

Organized by DPSG Marburg, this year’s WÖPFI Sommerlager brought together scouts for a week of creativity, adventure, and friendship. The theme? Cars — a fun legend that guided 21 participants (including 5 from Ukraine) and 8 leaders through unforgettable experiences.

Adventures and Activities

🔹 The camp program was packed with engaging activities for every scout:

• Evening hikes under the stars 🌌
• Visit to the Butterfly House 🦋
• Swimming pool fun 🏊
• Workshops: wood carving, decoupage, juggling, building shelters, and traditional Ukrainian crafts like motanka dolls and varenyky cooking 🥟

Participants shared experiences, learned new skills, and witnessed the moving ceremony of scout oaths 🤝, making the camp truly memorable.

A Unique Cultural Experience

🇩🇪🇺🇦 This camp was a brand-new experience for Ukrainian Plast scouts, combining life in nature with modern activities, creativity, and cultural exchange.
From hiking and crafts to teamwork and friendship, WÖPFI Sommerlager 2025 showed how scouts can explore the world while building bonds that cross borders.
