🏕 Base “La Busa del Mercante”
A Camp Filled with Heart, Creativity, and Friendship
This unique camp became a true adventure for both heart and soul — a week filled with creativity, reflection, and meaningful connections.
Inspired by the book Seven Black Dots, the program centered on understanding, support, and personal growth. Through games, moments of faith, and teamwork, children didn’t simply play — they learned about themselves and discovered one another.
Participants from Ukraine and Italy
✨ Around 30 participants from Ukraine (Plast Ternopil Cub Scout Troop 64 “Morning Star Messengers” and the mixed cub-scout patrol “Sypuhy” from Peremyshliany) and Italy (AGESCI Brescia 7) came together to create, explore, and share unforgettable moments.
Faith as a Living Experience
🙏 A special focus was placed on faith and catechesis — not as abstract lessons, but as a living, meaningful process rooted in real values, cooperation, and mutual support.
Skill-Building and Creativity
🎨 Throughout the camp, children developed a wide range of skills:
– writing articles
– painting and crafting
– dancing and performing skits
– making collages
– exploring nature
– presenting and defending their own creative projects
They became true creators and active participants in shaping their camp experience.
Italy Day & Ukraine Day
🌍 Themed days added a unique atmosphere to the week:
🇮🇹 Italy Day
Traditional food, crafts, dances, music, and classic Italian games brought local culture to life.
🇺🇦 Ukraine Day
The camp filled with folk songs, hands-on varenyky cooking, embroidery crafts, and an evening campfire full of dancing and stories.
Mountain Adventures
⛰ One of the week’s highlights was a breathtaking mountain hike. Participants collected small “treasures of nature” and exchanged them as symbols of kindness, friendship, and care.
Games and Challenges
⚡️ Camp activities were pure adventure: quests, team challenges, water battles, puzzles, and relays. Each one fostered trust, teamwork, and the joy of overcoming challenges together.
Gratitude
💛 We extend our deepest gratitude to all organizers, volunteers, Italian scout leaders, translators, and everyone who made this camp possible.
But above all — to the children, who lived every moment with open hearts and shining smiles.
