From August 26 to September 2, 2025, Ukrainian Plast members took part in the international scout camp Clavis Temporis in Alghero, Sardinia. The symbolic name — “keys of time” — inspired participants to seek joy, appreciate every moment, and discover new experiences through creativity, friendship, and learning.
The weeklong program offered a wide range of activities: workshops on vytynanka, cyanotype, icon painting, and traditional Sardinian mask making, as well as field games, sports competitions, singing, dancing, and evening campfires. Participants also visited the Monte Prama Museum, the historic city of Oristano, and the Punta Giglio National Park, deepening their understanding of Sardinia’s culture and history.
A key element of the camp was international cooperation. Italian scouts joined the program daily—playing games, taking part in art workshops, hiking, and exchanging badges, scarves, songs, and traditions. This created a warm atmosphere of unity and genuine cultural exchange.
We express our sincere gratitude to MASCI, especially Anna Rita Cazu, Secretary of MASCI Sardinia; Gigi, head of MASCI Alghero; Stefano Piras; the municipality of Alghero led by Mayor Raimondo Cacciotto; and everyone involved in organizing the camp.
Our thanks also go to Plast USA for their financial support, which made it possible for Ukrainian children to enjoy a peaceful and joyful camping experience.
Clavis Temporis truly became a key that opened hearts and connected cultures. Even in challenging times, the camp reminded us to value every moment and proved that the light of community, friendship, and love always prevails.
