Ukrainian and Italian Scouts unite in Bracciano

From 12 to 20 July 2025, Ukrainian Scouts from Plast Ukrainian Scouting Organization joined Italian Scouts from AGESCI – Associazione Guide e Scouts Cattolici Italiani for a week of discovery, learning, and adventure at the Bracciano Scout Base near Rome, Italy.

Themed “Night at the Museum,” this international scout camp in Italy brought together young people from two nations to live the spirit of scouting — friendship, teamwork, and service — under the summer sky.

A True International Scout Experience

Hosted by the amazing AGESCI Nuova Florida 1 a.p.s. Group, the camp united:
🔹 4 mixed scout patrols — boys and girls from Ukraine and Italy
🔹 4 Italian Cub Scout packs
🔹 16 passionate leaders and scoutmasters

Together, they created a community driven by curiosity, nature, and brotherhood — the very essence of world scouting.

Highlights from “Night at the Museum”

✨ Overnight Mission under the Stars – Patrols embarked on a challenging survival hike beyond the camp territory, learning resilience and teamwork.
🛠️ Pioneering and Outdoor Skills – Scouts built structures, developed practical skills, and discovered the joy of creating with their own hands.
🌊 Water Adventures – Swimming, kayaking, canoeing, and games that turned the lake into a playground of laughter and energy.
🍽️ Cooking Challenge – Teams received a budget, planned a menu, and cooked a full three-course meal — a true test of creativity and independence.
🔥 Evening Campfires – Songs, dances, and storytelling brought together Italian passion and Ukrainian energy in unforgettable moments.
✈️ Visit to the Aviation Museum – A perfect addition to the “Night at the Museum” theme, sparking imagination and curiosity.

Beyond Borders: The Spirit of Scout Brotherhood

What made this international camp in Bracciano truly extraordinary was not only the adventure but the unity it inspired.
Different languages — same laughter.
Different traditions — same values.

Scouts from Ukraine and Italy shared stories, songs, and friendship, proving once again that scouting makes the world smaller, kinder, and stronger.
