Fell in the line of duty defending Ukraine – Volodymyr Yakovliev.

While a student in 2019, he became a Rover Scout in Plast and one of the initiators of restoring the Plast branch in Mykolaiv. Together with the local initiative group he travelled to Plast events in other branches to gain experience. He took part in the Spring Festival in Kherson and in Annual Scout gathering in Kropyvnytskyi. And was actively involved in presenting Plast to the public in Mykolaiv. In 2020, he completed the National Induction Training for full membership in Plast, held in Kherson.

He studied at Secondary School in Mykolaiv. Later, he continued his education in automotive mechanics at the Mykolaiv Vocational Lyceum of Construction and Services. He received his higher education degree in 2022, majoring in Computer Science at the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of the Mykolaiv National University named after V. O. Sukhomlynskyi.

For a short time, he worked at a factory and at one of the branches of Nova Poshta.

He had a deep love for literature. He wrote and was preparing for publication his own fantasy prose book, “The Stone.”

After Russia’s full-scale invasion, he stayed in Mykolaiv and volunteered, and in August 2024 he signed a contract and joined the Armed Forces.

He served in the Artillery Reconnaissance Division of the 40th Separate Artillery Brigade named after Grand Duke Vytautas of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On 10 September 2025, while in frontline positions in Kharkiv region, he was attacked by an enemy drone and killed. For some time, he was considered missing in action.

He is survived by his older brother, his parents, and extended family.
