On December 14, 2020 the official international Scout ceremony to receive the Bethlehem Peace Light took place in Vienna. Members of Plast, the National Scouting Organization of Ukraine and Scouts from other countries received the flame at Vienna’s St. Leopold’s Cathedral.
This ceremony marks the beginning of this year`s relay to transfer the symbol of peace and harmony worldwide. The sharing of the Bethlehem Peace Light is an international annual Scout campaign which receives the flame from Christ’s birthplace in Bethlehem. This ceremony is also accompanied by good deeds from scouts.
The Bethlehem Peace Light is the traditionally shared by members of Plast throughout Ukraine, as well as in other countries.
